Programme Officer (Full-Time)
Location: iDendron (HKU) + remote work
Salary: HK$16,000 – 20,000 (Depending on experience)
Employment: 1-year Full-time contract, starting July 2025
Reports to: Executive Director & Programme Manager
The Opportunity
Join us in shaping the future of Cantonese and multicultural education for Hong Kong’s diverse communities! In addition to running school programmes, we are now focusing on synthesising and developing high-quality teaching materials for Cantonese and intercultural education, which we hope to share with the wider community. We aim to build a robust linguistic and educational foundation for our curriculum, ensuring our resources are engaging, research-driven, and accessible to diverse learners. This project is set to be completed within one year.
This role focuses on developing research-driven teaching materials, coordinating impactful learning programmes for non-Chinese primary students, and fostering connections with stakeholders to share our mission. With opportunities to innovate, contribute to curriculum development, and drive social inclusion, this one-year project offers a unique chance to make a lasting impact in a mission-driven, inclusive environment rooted in Christian values.
Essential Responsibilities

Organise, synthesise, and develop teaching materials into cohesive, user-friendly resources

Manage marketing platforms and build connections with relevant stakeholders to share our resources

Coordinate and deliver Cantonese and multicultural learning programmes for non-Chinese primary students

Contribute to curriculum development informed by educational research and linguistics

Support administrative duties: volunteer management, general enquiries, and programme logistics

Work on Saturdays during the academic semester as needed
Who We Are Looking For

Education or linguistics background is a strong advantage

Creative, compassionate, and well-organised

Excellent written and spoken English & Cantonese (essential)

Bonus: skills in other languages (Nepali, Hindi, Urdu, Tagalog), design tools (Canva, Adobe), or Excel
